King François I has left his mark on the national culture of France as a royal patron of the arts. The design of the Plume François I pen in a limited edition pays homage to the life and work of the king of the French Renaissance. Splendid insignia of royal power go harmoniously to artistic expression. The Edition 4810 Senting Sench features a tiger eye stone, reference to a charm carried by François Ier, contrasting with the precious black resin of the hood and cannon. Ornamental Renaissance patterns are masterfully engraved on the carefully shaped clip and the gold plated rings, giving the pen its royal aura.

François Ier was the first king of the Renaissance of France, crowned in 1515 in the cathedral of Reims. During his reign, François I brought France to an artistic and cultural ascendant. Passionate poet, he was known to improve the royal library and make himself available to the public. As the founder of the Collège de France in Paris, which still exists today, he introduced the study of Latin, Greek and Hebrew. His policy in 1536 helped the French do without Latin as a language of bureaucracy. Famous artists were invited by François I to settle in France. Among them, Léonardo da Vinci, who brought the "Mona Lisa" to Paris and worked at the King's Court until his death.
