Through the Masters of Art Tribute to Vincent Van Gogh Limited Edition 4810, Montblanc famous Vincent Van Gogh, one of the most popular painters of the end of the 19th century. This edition particularly emphasizes his stay in Arles, with details reminiscent of the Blé Provençaux fields and one of his most famous paintings, the sunflowers. The mention "1888" engraved on the ring of the body, next to the Vincent's lively orange signature, commemorates the year he settled in Arles. The body is dressed in shades of yellow and orange recalling the sunny landscapes of the south of France, immortalized in the works of Van Gogh. Van Gogh has developed a more spontaneous and free style and mastered both the brush and the palette knife, which he used to make thick and daring dishes. The platform clip is inspired by its palette knife, while the yellow lacquer at the top of the cap immortalizes its brush strokes. In addition, the upper part of the clip is filled with precious yellow resin and takes up the form of a pipe bowl, a subtle detail that recalls how much he liked to smoke the pipe, as evidenced by his self -portraits. In tribute to Vincent's fascination for traditional Japanese wood engravings, the general shape is inspired by a Japanese wood chisel while the cap is made of wood. This edition is decorated with the Montblanc emblem in yellow precious resin.
