Born as the first son of the Empress Marie-Thérèse and her husband Francis Stephen de Lorraine, later German emperor François Ier, Joseph grew up with his sister Marie-Antoinette and his other brothers and sisters in Vienna, Austria. In 1764, Joseph II. accesses the throne by becoming king of the Romans (king of Germany) and only a year later, emperor of the Roman Empire. Unlike his mother, who always insisted on the old reforms, Joseph was already a supporter of informed ideas.
The red and white lacquer of the limited edition 4810 recalls the national colors of Austria. Its design is inspired by the imperial coat of arms of the monarch, inscribed on the pen in 18 carat champagne gold as a delicate engraving. The gold -plated golden fittings on the plug and the barrel complete this edition dedicated to one of the greatest supporters of Mozart.
