Montezuma I was appointed sovereign of the great Aztec Empire in 1440, which marked the beginning of the Aztec Golden Age. During his reign, he shaped the image of the Aztec state that we know today, a state rich in culture and mythology. His capital, Tenochtitlán, today Mexico City, has prospered under his reign.
Montblanc Maecenas Edition Limited Edition 4810 Pen Plume Tribute to Moctezuma I with details plated or Champagne pays homage to this distinguished sovereign of one of the most special cultures in the history of the world. The design is inspired by an ATLATL, an Aztec javelin launcher. The shape of the tip, enhanced with a hammer finish, is inspired by the Aztec sacrificial knife with obsidian blade. The colors of the lacquer (petroleum blue and carmine red) are inspired by the colors of the royal mantle. The two hieroglyphs that adorn the cap symbolize the period of the reign of Moctezuma I. The Golden Plume 750 is decorated with a delicate engraving inspired by the glyph corresponding to the city of Tenochtitlán: a three -arms cactus with a royal crown and two parades .
