Montblanc Star Legacy Orbis Terrarum

The Montblanc Star Legacy collection is inspired by the heritage of Minerva and the pocket watches produced by the manufacture at the end of the 19th century and at the beginning of the 20th century. The Montblanc Star Legacy Orbis Terrarum's watch has its origin in the words "Orbis Terrarum", which mean "globe", "earth" and "world" in Latin. This model is animated by an automatic movement equipped with a complication of manufacture. Montblanc’s objective was to offer a universal hour function with elegant aesthetics, but also easy to adjust, to read and whose use would be done intuitively. Once settled, it indicates at a glance the 24 cities representing the different time zones as well as a day/night display for each of them. Thanks to its unique pusher, the watch is easily adjusted, even when traveling. Its dial is made up of a higher rotary sapphire glass disc with a rhodied three -dimensional map of the northern hemisphere and meridians, surrounded by a ring indicating the 24 cities of the various time zones. Under the sapphire glass dial appears the day/night disc which runs in 24 hours, alternating light blue for the day to dark blue for the night. A red arrow at 12 p.m. indicates the city and the current time zone of the watch owner. Housed in a 43 mm in polished stainless steel box, this model is enhanced with a satin finish on the sides.
