Born as the first son of Empress Maria Theresa and her husband Francis Stephen of Lorraine, later German Emperor Francis I, Joseph grew up with his sister Marie Antoinette and other siblings in Vienna, Austria. In 1764, Joseph II.ascended to the throne by becoming King of the Romans (King of Germany) and only a year later, Emperor of the Roman Empire.Unlike his mother, who always insisted on the old reforms, Joseph was already a supporter of enlightened ideas.

The red and white lasca of the limited edition 4810 recalls the national colors of Austria. Its design is inspired by the monarch's imperial coat of arms, inscribed on the 18-karat champagne gold pen as a delicate engraving. The gold-plated champagne toppings on the cork and cask complete this edition dedicated to one of Mozart's greatest supporters.
