The Montblanc 1858 line is inspired by legendary professional watches produced by Minerva in the 1920s and 1930s for the military and exploration. Reinterpreting these exceptional models, Montblanc 1858 reflects the spirit of mountain exploration and is part of the current trend of a return to nature.
The Montblanc 1858 Geosphere watch is dedicated to the challenge of the seven summits, the holy grail of mountaineers. It comes in a 42 mm blue titanium case with contrasting frosted white details, reminiscent of glaciers. The watch is fitted with a manufacture universal hours complication produced by the Montblanc watchmakers in Villeret: two domed globes moving in an opposite direction complete a full rotation in 24 hours. The globes are topped with a graduation for the 24 time zones and a day / night indicator in contrasting colors. The different time zones can thus be understood intuitively, with the additional help of SuperLumiNova® applied to the continents to improve visibility and performance in the dark. The timepiece is mounted on a blue Sfumato calfskin strap with white stitching.
