The Montblanc name has always been associated with precision writing tools that reflect the pinnacle of artistic processing and technical sophistication. Founded in 1906 in Hamburg, Germany, where it resides until today, it quickly gained a reputation as a manufacturer of quality pens. This Writers Edition draws its main inspiration from the history of the Trojan horse.

The general shape is inspired by the horse, the back and the clip reflecting the spear. The engraving on the cone and the rings borrows patterns from traditional Greek black-figure pottery, the general color of the writing instrument being inspired by this same black Greek pottery.
