Scipio Borghese (September 1, 1577-2 October 1633) was an Italian cardinal, collector and art patron. Member of the Borghese family, he was the patron of the Caravaggio painter and the artist Bernini. He bequeathed to posterity the constitution of the art collection of Villa Borghese de Rome, a monument of the Roman decoration in what it has more extravagant, and which houses the most beautiful collections of baroque sculptures in the world.
